Phoenix Again – Prog Band

Giorgio Lorandi

Son of Antonio, was born in Brescia on May 12th 1987.
The passion for music is early and, since childhood, he joins musical genres to which his father introduces him. The first “meeting” is with Pink Floyd, band he continues supporting.

He’s been playing guitar since he was eleven, when he started studying it at school, but he stands for his rhytmic skills that lead him approaching the bass guitar, too.
When he was 15, the first musical experience: with two schoolmates he set up the death metal trio Assassinated, promoting a setlist with covers by the most influential bands of that musical genre. Thanks to this experience he approached the deepest and heaviest sounds of metal music.

When he was twenty, he set up Omicron with his brother Marco (guitar) and his cousin Alfonso Di Vincenzo (guitar). With the drummer Claudio Tomasoni, the band proposed a repertory of cover by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands (Iron Maiden and Judas Priest).

After two years of activity he decided to leave the lineup.

With Phoenix Again since 2011, he entered the lineup firstly as sound engineer for the live events of the band but, two years after, he became the official percussionist.
